Importance of Quarterly Reviews

There are a lot of factors that go into employees achieving their maximum performance in the workplace. One of those factors happens to be beneficial in both professional and personal environments, that is, setting goals and evaluating your ability to reach those goals within a certain timeframe.

When a company only conducts annual reviews, employees often times forget about the goals they have set because they do not have a methodology in place for tracking their performance towards reaching those goals. Increasing the frequency of performance reviews benefits employees, managers, and the company as a whole. Quarterly reviews allow managers to address performance issues quickly, establish a plan to help the employee improve, and regularly check in to gauge that employee’s improvement. Frequent feedback helps employees grow overtime and keeps them focused on their goals throughout the year. When team members grasp where they stand and how their performance is aligning with expectations, it gives them motivation to succeed and a roadmap for improvement.

Successful companies start with the employees within. Effective leaders can maximize the performance of their employees and evaluate the success of their company by setting long-term goals and guiding employees towards reaching those goals through quarterly performance reviews.
