Best Sites for Your Job Search

Job searching can be daunting and overwhelming. In the PR and Social Media world, finding your dream job can be hard because the market is oversaturated. We’ve pulled together a few of our favorite sites to use for your job search!

LinkedIn makes it easy to look for a job. You can easily use the “1-click apply” so you don’t have to fill out an application. Your data is pulled from your profile and then shared with the recruiter. You also have the capability to share your profile with the recruiter, which can be very helpful to get them to notice you when they are receiving hundreds of applications. If you’re not having any luck getting traction, try upgrading your account to Premium. This will increase your chances of your profile being viewed, which in turn will hopefully lead to an interview! LinkedIn is also one of the top sites that recruiters use to find candidates, so if you are actively looking for a job make sure your profile says so.

This online platform and offline conference for women has a “classified” section on their website. It specifically pulls #girlboss jobs in public relations, marketing, advertising, social media and so much more. The Classifieds usually only has about 6-9 jobs available, but they are updated weekly and promote some amazing opportunities! A lot of the jobs posted there are not even on the specific company’s website.

Indeed is very similar to LinkedIn. The site provides a multitude of available jobs for various companies. The application process is very quick and easy. For most of the applications, all you have to do is set up your profile and upload your resume. Once you do that, you can start applying for jobs with a click of a button. The site will share your resume automatically with the hiring manager and they can automatically message you to say if they are interested or not.
