The Benefits of Team Brainstorming
According to the Merriam-Webster dictionary, a brainstorm is “a sudden bright idea.” At Hannah Schneider Creative, we need to come up with bright ideas quite often; whether it’s for a PR or social campaign, we’re constantly generating new and interesting ideas to use for pitches and content creation. Sometimes we brainstorm as a team instead of individually. This allows us to bounce off of one another and eventually leads to even greater ideas. We’ve outlined a few ways to help you get that lightbulb lit:
Discover new perceptions
Brainstorming sessions force you to layout everything that comes to mind. No matter how ridiculous your ideas may be, as long as it gets written down, everyone can play off the idea. Once hearing other ideas, you may discover new perceptions.
Team brainstorming should require everyone to have a chance to write down ideas, so no one is left out. Once all employees play off one idea, it may spark new avenues to work from, and continue bouncing off one another.
Team brainstorming encourages communication and team cohesiveness, which is key to a better work environment.even if it’s the latte art on your morning coffee.
